Dental Expert Witness Information for Attorneys
One of the first issues that needs to be addressed with Dr. Chal is any potential conflicts of interest. Because of Dr. Chal's prominence, he knows many dentists across the country. If he is personally acquainted with the defending dentist, he feels it would be inappropriate for him to serve as an expert witness against or for that dentist.
He will also want to discuss fees and other preliminaries. Please check the menu above under the tab "For Attorneys" for more information.
If You Are a Patient
If you are a patient who wants a second opinion, or are in need of treatment, then contact Dr. Chal's office and schedule a consultation.
If you are considering litigation, Dr. Chal would not be able to perform the function of an expert witness and also be a treating dentist. He will need to work with your attorney in order to serve as an expert witness. If that is a possibility in your mind, do not contact Dr. Chal yourself, but have your attorney contact Dr. Chal. This will enable Dr. Chal to maintain the independence he needs in order to serve as an effective and credible expert witness in your behalf.
